Okay, no more need of external 3.3v power source!

Vdd on
echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/reg-userspace-consumer.0/state
Vdd off
echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/reg-userspace-consumer.0/state

Now it really is just a software issue! Feel free to jump in!
