I just mounted my sdcard as /home/nemo as you describe in your rewritten first post. It seems to work just fine, thanks!
Notice however that I had to use devel-su much earlier than what you describe: in fact creating a directory in /mnt requires root. Also, rsync will fail on some hidden directories if not run under root identity... So in fact I did the whole procedure under root identity !
I can also confirm that .android needs 777, or Yandex store (for example) won't run. This seems a bit scary, doesn't it ?
