I accidentally locked my device and didn't know the lock code. I ended up reflashing the device to get it unlocked and then I was able to find the lock code in /dev/mtd1.

I find it ridiculous that it is that difficult to recover a forgotten lock code - the fact is that having the lock code this protected isn't going to make the device less likely to be stolen - it is only going to make it difficult for users like me who accidentally hit lock device when trying to turn it off. Now I am off to figure out how to remove "Lock Device" from the power menu as I never use it and I don't want to do this again by mistake.
