I was one of the original 10 to order one of these USB OTG dongles and still have not received it (shipped to US).
Depending on the exact location in the US I was quoted as being approximately a week for shipping by the mail service, so hang in there should be in if not today then in the next day or so.

Will this adapter enable an ethernet connection via an ethernet-to-usb adapter?
Theoretically yes, I'm actually going to be testing this one tonight. I believe there are a few extra steps in software that you have to do to make things work though; I'll post up with details and results when I get it figured out.
