the timer is another critical feature. amazing how you can still keep the really useful things coming. i really like the ui with the slider. the ui for getting to it is nice, too, but its counter-intuitive. i personally think theres no room for more buttons or a larger icon, but there should be some indication of a timer ui existing before you click video.

a whiny feature request: that you preserve modified sound files across upgrades. dunno what the correct way to do this is, maybe move them out of the way with preinst if they exist and then replace them with postinst? this is not even remotely important.

i honestly dont know, but its true. for me, if you moved the icon to the edge {or took up mcbooks suggestion and made it clickable a few more px to the right}, im fairly sure id be fine.
I can add a button to the toolbar that alows choosing the mode (normal/timer/zsl/...) but I felt that the toolbar is really going to be crowded.

I did not want to add an extra button on top of the viewfinder because I feel it's already crowded as well. My only option was the way it is now but I am open to new ideas

Did you modify the sound files? Could you please share the modified ones? I personally like the stock ones but I needed sounds for the Sailfish version of cameraplus so I had to use the Android ones.

There is a way (or should be a way) by using dpkg-divert. You can then divert the installation of the sounds you don't like to another location. This will preserve your files.

The trick is to divert the ones that come with cameraplus and put the modified ones in the same place where the sound files get installed (Make sure to preserve the names).

So the problem is the right part of the button? Let me try to see how much difference is there between my margin and stock camera right margin.

EDIT: I think that might be a bug in either the stock camera or MeegoTouch. If I tap the area between the button and the right part of the screen then camera captures an image. I am not sure what is going on because if I press and keep pressing then camera does not try to focus. The button doesn't seem to be changing its background too. This is all weird...
