It could just be your battery is so empty it does not even try to boot.
hmm never had my battery that drained (yeah, my Jolla, but thats another great bedtime story)

1 the USB port on the PC is broken
2 the USB port on N9 is broken
3 the USB Cable is broken
4 The NAND is dead
5 The battery is dead

1-3 did you try
a another PC
b another USB cable

2 you need soldering
4 you need a new N9
5 remove battery and try
a swap with a new
b charge on external charger
c connect a charger to the battery pins on N9
