Thanks for trusting me to take you thru the MMC boot process. I will be more than happy to do it as someone in the past took me thru. I got it from the forum and would like to give it back to the forum. I have now added my AIM contact, it is the yellow little walking man on the right upper corner. Add me to your buddy, and check whether I am around. If so, we will look at it together and get your MMC boot done.

It is OK to PM/email me. But please do NOT send me pages and pages of what you have "attempted but failed",

1) If I am not around to read the PM messages, it takes only 2 of a very large PM message to bomb my PM box full and prevent me from receiving future PM message, and naturally I would not be happy, right?

2) The more you wrote, the more I have to read and frankly they are NOT very important and I am NOT interested. I am interested to take you thru, but not pouring thru pages and pages of attemps, and the bottomline, I probably do not have the answer.

3) It is a lot easier to answer Qs one at a time when you ask. To answer several Qs embedded in pages and pages, I have to edit, correct, format, you name it...........it just easier for both of us.

4) I have answered every PMs/emails I can in the last 48 hrs whether it is useful or not is a different subject. if you do not hear from me, check your PM/email box and clear your box (you send me a large message, when I click the reply button, your box will then be full). I do NOT want to hear something like bun is arrogant and ignore PM/emails etc. I restate, I have been responsive to your request in a timely manner.

Finally, the MMC boot is tricky, but it can be done, I know nothing about Linux. Absolutely nothing, but I have done it from 770, N800 and now N810 thru 2006Os, 2007He and now 2008Os with helps from this forum.

Here are my sources:

If you plan for KDE, you better read iii) first as it concerns the amount of partition

i) bootmenu: http://fanoush.wz.cz/maemo/#initfs

ii) Cloning: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...+clone&page=30, threads #1 and #292, step to step. I am using Milhouse's script because 1) I am very familiar with it 2) it is 100% handsoff, automated, 3) on repeat, you ONLY have to type one command ./nupgrade.sh - optional parameter, no need for redl, re-satisfy with prerequeisit.

iii) KDEv2 (SD boot) http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t=15491&page=7, thread #66, step by step instruction.

background materials if you are interested in the Linux commands,

b) http://schmots.blogspot.com/, the dual partition part.

I am now available, catch me on my AIM, see ya.....
