If we go that route, we can throw every single measurement and review published in any site out of window. MPC is so far the only site that has actually measured the screen and they were surprised themselves how good it was, except for being too dim, having not that great contrast and a bit biased white balance. My own experience does not contradict this, so I have no reason to doubt it. However I have reason to doubt your claim for it being almost unusable.

And again, Jolla's photo "May" be better than N900, but is it generally good? How about compare with 3-year old N9? How about mid-range camera nowadays?
...or maybe if we compared it to my DSLR? Of how awful it is compared to that...

My take on it is that camera on Jolla is good enough. Nothing to write home about, but I get decent pictures out of it. It was your claim that it's worse than on N900, so I actually wanted to know how did you manage to get better pictures out of it...

Yea we all love Jolla, buy there is no point pretending it doing well, especially on HW. Pointing out their weakness also gives the hope they avoid the same problem on the next device.
Our way of exaggerating problems and weaknesses (like your comparison to N900) will not do anyone any good. If we are to help, our criticism should be as neutral and as truthful as possible. Which is of course difficult for wretched beings like humans.

If you DO think Jolla HW is good, then it's good if you think so. Not for me myself.
It's good enough for now. High end HW would have had quite different price tag, which would have been more difficult to sell as a first device on new OS. While waiting for the new device, I'm using my Jolla every day and not going to switch back to N9 and definitely not going for another platform.
