Hate to be that guy, but over 80% of the human population is right-handed. So to make something easier for RH people over LH people is a better designed thing.

With that in mind, people in UK, Japan, Korea, Australasia are in the right. The rest are in the wrong.

Cause UK and co use their dominant hand to steer and the supporting hand to change gears, music controls, dials and send txt messages.

And if the front passenger was to aid in an emergency, they could utilize their right hand/arm. Making an emergency interruption more likely to be a success.

That's how insightful you have to be to be a good designer.
