Or it could simply be the ease of claiming warranty? Samsung has stores/service centres/authorized agents in almost every city making the process much more accessible than maybe shipping a package back to Jolla and hoping the costs are feasible...

Yes I do know the apples vs oranges argument but its an argument against terming people as a certain mindset without understanding the full scenario.
