Thank you very much for the tip. But why should I have to tweak my device to have normal behaviour (in line with Nokia legacy, advertisements and previous behavior of Sailfish)?

I get a headache thinking about having to root / jailbreak Android for normal usage and that is one of the reasons I choose for Jolla.

This is giving Jolla phone a bad name and is at best not creating a nice showcase to lure Android users to move to Sailfish.
Probably those Android users enjoy less aggressive application killing on their 2GB - 3GB RAM power phones.

Other observation:

Opened 12 applications, a dirty mix of native and Android ones and left them idle for about 4-5 hrs.

No significant battery drain. OK!
