The big thing is exactly the statements you guys have voiced. What would be safe to buy that isn't compromised.
From all of what I have read concerning this espionage ..
I glean from it that finding not current or to-be-released products would be the best bet.
A couple yrs old .
Perhaps as old as last years would probably be fine.
It boils down to what was targeted.
Current and upcoming to be released products to snare those purchasing now and into the near future.
They obviously couldn't burgle everything so why worry about last year or year before model.
Essentially a trawling net.
If you are an old wily fish with old wily gear with old wily tricks more than likely you can slip the net.
Foolish fish get caught.
Greedy fish get caught.

And the whole nothing to hide...down to nothing left to hide is dead on the money.
Want to hide something? An Idea? A thought? Anything? Even for good reason?

3 choices now.

1- Say nothing about it in the presence of any piece of equipment which has a connection to the internet or telecom. enabled system.

2- Do not log it, refer, mention or work on it or have anything to do with it on a system which is to ever have access to the internet while that work is on said system. Physical hardcopy is safer. Back to the written word. Grammar may just improve.... eh?

3- Big Brother hasn't arrived. He's invited himself into every home, sat hisself down in everyone's favourite chair, put his feet up on everyone's coffee table and is taking notes. Plain and simple.
Hence the smart thing to do is invest in equipment that makes it harder to monitor you. (Neo900, gta04... for example)


The sad part is as things have gotten worse the Powers are doing their best to safeguard their populations ...bluntly put. They are doing what they should with the tools at their disposal. If the next terror attack / riot / civil unrest / rebellion happens to country "A" because their government didn't watch and listen to the particular "individ's" involved because they didn't utilize every bit of tech possible ..the public ..hell...the mourning families.... want to know why. Then there is investor confidence in the shaken society. The damage goes on...


I'm not trying to fear monger or see conspiracy where there isn't one.
But ...All this happening ...all this crap coming down the pipe so quickly regardless of Power involved or nation or corp attacked... isn't just chance or just because global powers can...

Things are tightening up for a reason.
Things are moving apace ...and quickly.
The fact the "populace" as a whole is not being informed as to the exact driving motivations for what is happening... that unknown quantity concerns me
