General: I was thinking that too, except I am pretty sure the single-wide applet doesn't show the current date or launch the world clock (although if anyone could figure out how to launch the clock from the command line I am sure it could be made to).
Also, if I ever get an alarm system to work with this clock that would be available in a single-wide version as well. I know duplication of effort is not a good thing, but I think this program is enough different from the existing one (and I think we are talking about osso-statusbar-cpu here).
Any other thoughts?
EDIT:
I do appreciate that the whole reason I started this project was to provide the double wide readable clock, but thanks to all the input here it has grown (look at the original "feature" list in the first post) into a much more customizable and useful program. If there is enough interest for a single wide version I will make it, but I hope that people will still use the double - it is a much more interesting program to me!
