For the BBOS7 devices like Bold 9900, there exist some apps like QuickLauncher/ShortCutMe which would allow the user to configure the volume buttons(when not playing media/or on a call) and the convenience button. For example, single click on volume up key will launch the default browser, double click on the same button will launch Opera and triple click can launch another and so on .Numerious combinations ... I found these configured buttons very useful while I was using 9900 as my daily driver.

In the same way , if user can configure the buttons in the other half it would be very interesting. I will definitely buy one.
