Ok, I have been able to build and package up an instance of Quickflickr for Harmattan. However, as I have no N9, and the Qt SDK apparently can't emulate an N9, I have absolutely no way to test it.

What I have done is created a QSslConfiguration object and set the protocol to TlsV1, and then changed every instance in the code of "http" to "https". However, I'm not certain that all of these should have been changed... But anyway, in theory, at least authorization should now be enabled.

I've got a .deb package, which I will attach to this post. I dunno exactly how installation of apps goes on Harmattan devices, so I'm not sure you can use this to install the app; but if you manage to do it, please tell me if it at all works. Thanks!
