As to YouTube, I ran cuteTube2 from terminal and got the following single line of output when trying to play a video that didn't work:

Code:
Error: "SSL support not available"
So it looks like YouTube pulled a Flickr on me. I guess this could be region dependent, so it doesn't affect everyone . . . I'm trying to play from the US, BTW.

Here's a video that definitely doesn't work for me in cuteTube2:

Skipper Dan

I can play it on my PC (Kubuntu 14.04, Chromium browser).
RE: Vimeo

Vimeo recently started redirecting to https when retrieving the player page. This issue was fixed here: https://github.com/marxoft/qvimeo/co...c6062a1ff56d65, but the fix is not working in Harmattan for some reason, so I haven't updated the N9 version yet. Vimeo playback should be working in the N900 version.

RE: YouTube

Google seem to be forcing SSL for certain videos (VEVO and such). They have done this before, then reverted back to allowing non-encrypted streaming, so they may revert back again. If they don't, there is not much that can easily be done for the cuteTube player, since the backend does not support SSL (hence the error message).
