Agreed.
I know it is far easier to draw, design or paint on some devices compared to others.
Your suggestion then gives fair comparable understanding to the ease of use of the device by stating the device.
for example...working on a 770 or n8x0 has a slight advantage in screen real estate over the n900...and the n900 has an advantage in graphic over the preceding...whereas someone using a galaxy ...or galaxy tab or ipad or tablet pc or wacom tablet or bamboo tablet or whatever may be perceived to have a hideously over-compensating advantage comparably to someone using a much more restricted screen size/ resolution of actual maemo devices.
So yeah...perhaps I'm being perceived to be a purist here.
But if you compare the context of the issue I'm most certainly not...
what is going to look better...
attempted detail (no matter how tight and good) done on a 3"x3" post-it?
or
on a 3'x1.5' canvas and then resolution resized down to 3"x3"?
Stating devices, resolutions, and programs used ..give a real practical understanding as to exactly what is possible with particular devices and what is not.
Otherwise for example I can pull out everything I've ever done graphic-wise on any kind of device ...
throw it up here...
and no one would have a clue what all devices I used for what images of my work...
and no one would have a clue that to even come close to what was done they would need the specific device/ equipment/ H.I.D. (human interface device) I used and specific software I used...
So from a pragmatic professional perspective...
Yeah...it makes sense ...
It helps others to understand each devices real actual capabilities.
