My lady and I got tickets a while back for a live set by a Canadian Great at an eatery just down the road from us..
Carol Pope.
Grew up on her and other greats...
It was grand..
just as excellent as she ever was..
she's got a new album out ...
played a bit from it..
played some of her best tunes from back in the day too...
There are precious few artists whose work is relevant decades later..
or can use composition , good writing and vocals to create imagery in mid air like her..
