And, for that matter, what is so special about the tablet to the future of Jolla? As I understand it, Jolla saw an opportunity to release another hardware prototype with the help of Intel, and went for it. But the tablet does not represent (and never did represent) the heart of Jolla's business. That was always going to be licensing Sailfish, and we've seen that they're now off and running with that business model.

Jolla's benefits from the tablet are (a) getting more recognition from the press and from the community at large, and (b) giving them experience setting up Sailfish on a tablet form-factor. I can't see it having ever been considered as a revenue generator for the company. (And I suspect they've already pulled in more resources with their first licensing agreement than they would have ever earned in profits from selling the tablet...)
Businesses and stock exchange like to trust. A predictable flow. In fact most of our deals depends on it in one way or another. Jolla needs to step up and deliver something. "In time". They can't play the start up card forever. Well, they can delay tablet now since we are just a few geeks waiting. But organizations might be watching...
25th is the last day to ship from Asia to reach customers around the world before 31 of July and another delay of a soft date...
At the same time I would like to give Jolla credits for being upfront with the est.delivery dates...it's just that they need to manage to hit some of them to get trust.
