Exactly right.

But I myself am not a developer, just someone who gets excited every time I pick up an internet tablet and who wants to join in the fun.

And I'm using as my full-time computer a laptop provided to me by my office, so I'm a Windows user by fiat.

As I've said before, I suspect there are more ITT users with Windows desktops than you realize. Especially non-N8*0 developers.

So I'm excited about anything that (A) enables me to straddle the Windows/Linux divide successfully (VMWare, Live CD, dual-boot -- other avenues I took that still didn't get me there), and (B) makes it easier for any Windows-based developers to get into ITT development.

And, sure, those Windows-based developers might end up following your footsteps, for precisely the reasons you enumerate.

But I want to put up a sign that points to the entryway!
