KDE installs two files on your mmc card swap.img and local.img. swap.img is a swap file and local.img is a mounted filesystem on /usr/local

To remove KDE, shutdown tablet

remove mmc cards

boot up tablet

place mmc cards back in

try the uninstall, alternately you can delete local.img and swap.img.

But if you boot up with the MMC card in your tablet, they will be in use, if you put them in after bootup the wont be mounted.

"the two files-(kde-mmc1 and kdesup) and it's taking up about 1.5 GB of memory"

kde-mmc1 and kdesup are not taking up 1.5GB, local.img and swap.img are taking up the space
