I'm sure this has been answered before but I couldn't find an answer with the search.

I have installed applications using both the application manager and direct from Maemo.org using the green download button. Under the application manager/check for updates there are updates for several programs. When I click on an application to update it, it says it is unable to install because the program came from a different source. Does that mean I have to uninstall it first and re-install it?
