They just closed the ticket:

"A situation has developed, that stops us from being able to accommodate your Out of Warranty repair request. The situation has turned out to being more persistent than initially thought, so unfortunately we don't have any estimates on when we might be able to help you out again"

They say they'll contact me if they have more information.
