I just purchased a new 770 yesterday at CompUSA and charged it up a few hours and then anxiously tried to power it on. Nothing. Totally dead. It would only power on if I plugged it in to the charger. I downloaded the latest software update from Nokia and loaded it on and now everything is working fine. The update seemed to do the trick. All is well. I was pretty freaked out. I thought the new toy was going straight back to the store for an exchange.
