Not exactly so, from what I see so far.
I did (with my cert in /root/cert.bin)
devel-su
develsh
chown root:root /dev/mtd1
cal-writer

And it did write the 'old' cert from cert.bin

then, of course, I did
chown cal:cal /dev/mtd1
to restore org permissions

Will try, if / when, Nokia servers allow download of FW again (says service under maintainance)
