Thank you for sharing the current state too - both are very valuable to all of us who need a tablet and are willing to undertake risk #2 with the Jolla Tablet, if we don't happen to be among the 540 lucky ones.

I know I could buy a cheap Android tablet instead (all I need it for is reading pdfs, currently), but there are two reasons I might risk the Chinese route:

I would love to develop some apps for the tablet.
It would be a shame if those tablets were to end up with Android in the hands of random people, rather than in this community.

PS: You can hardly make this thread any worse
