Where do you get the "BecomeRoot" package from? Maemo.org?
OK, so I searched Maemo for this and nothing, however I did find under "Download/Systems - 2nd page" an icon that says " a simple way to locally capture root" but no install. So when I click on the title, it takes me to an "instruction page" which says "If you want to SSH root@device from ANOTHER device, just TEMPORARILY install
an appropriate authorized_keys files
in /Home\user\ssh\authorized_keys before installing this package
"Dude, for a Newbie, what does this mean?"
Anyhow, it goes on to say, in a box at the bottom of the screen (by Mike Lococo):
"This entry isn''t reguarding an application and should be deleted. It's a set of instructions for manually gaining root access to a tablet, and should be in the wiki instead"
My point being; "Just to get an app installed I feel like I'm asking for large donations or directions in some distant land, and nobody wants to help." Things shouldn't be this difficult, really, its too much.
