File down the USB cable's hooks as described by dr_frost_dk http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...61&postcount=2 at begin of this post The metallic piece that still attached to the phone have very tight fit,if the hooks are not well smooth with a file is very hard to remove later without damage the n900 usb port ก you are advised !! instead of the filed hooks I use small pieces of double sided tape to mantain male usb united to n900. I use OtterBox case in my phone with wrist strap
