It still puzzles me why they're there on pure Android phones*. Android has worked perfectly well without buttons for years. One of the reasons I buy Sony phones is because they DON'T have buttons. You can use them any way up, you get less bezel and if Sailfish ever becomes a viable OS for daily use you've got a device without the buttons in the way. * Except for Samsung who seem to think they need a home button just like an iPhone to attract the clueless.
