I must say, I've been enjoying this N900 - or at least I was, until I tried to make an actual phone-call and discovered the earpiece was dead!

Well, I wasn't going to let that go without a fight, so I opened the screen assembly and found one of the tracks to the earpiece speaker was corroded away.

I cleaned it up as best I could and soldered a wire in place. Had to replace one of the capacitors too as I accidentally knocked it off but the result is a working earpiece!

Makes you remember to do a full hardware test on things before you start using them...
