I don't know that the Lacie network drive is any different than other NAS devices-it's not the same type of user-interactive system that a regular computer is. Unless you can get into the firmware (likely Linux-based) which controls the Lacie drive and its web interface and modify it to use and run VNC on it, you''ll always need a host operating system such as that found on your Windoze PC or Mac. Some hardware firmware has room for modification, some has little, and it isn't always legally accessible.
I don't know specifically what you want to do- if you want access to the content on the drive, such as media files, you can use it as a UPnP server and stream the data to your tablet. If you want to access the share itself through the tablet file manager, there are ways to do that, but to VNC directly to it isn't quite the norm- it's designed to be leashed. All of what you can do via its web interface from your PC or Mac you can do from your tablet from its web browser, assuming you're on the same subnet of your home wireless network.
Maybe someone else has ventured into this; I personally don't see the benefit, but I also can't quite narrow down your intent. If you expand on your needs perhaps there are methods already being used which others could share to help you achieve your goals.
