Seriously, a screen protector is recommended but the included one is total garbage. If you want a quality protector, you can find it here.
I use the "upscreen Bacteria Shield Matte Premium Screen Protector" myself and I'm very satisfied with that. Don't know about the bacteria part, but otherwise it delivers.
