yup....
definitely both...
odorable
and orderable...
but definitely not
adorable..
sigh...
yeah I could put an "order" in on something...
(already with the neo in fact)
but it is akin to putting an order in on an alien spacecraft....
sure "they are working on it"
and sure "it'll be available soon"
But if it comes in the mail in my lifetime...
it ain't gonna look or perform like the above fore mentioned artists conception...
but realistically more like this...
Hate to say it...
but I am feeling discouraged myself...
It has been a wait of years now...
as in multiple...
as in YEARS...
Forget a handheld successor to maemo even...
or handheld linux....
we have handheld linux....
It isn't what I would prefer...
But it will have to do...
compared to current on-the-market garbage being sold...
our devices are having an even harder time than ever keeping up with modern necessary communicative requirements...
in this one respect...as many have stated...
our devices in compare are way past life support...
But in other areas of use our devices are antiquated...
yes..
but serviceable still ...
at least for my purposes...they are adequate.
I am increasingly disheartened at the situation...
But I don't think it hopeless...
there is "freemantle" being worked on...
and the work getting hidlon to gtk3...
So that looks good...
and..
I began (not so long ago...) puttering away on a retro looking maemo-esque desktop enviro for debian...
Not everyone's cup of tea I am sure...
but it will be adequate ....for my laptops....
just so I can keep having my daily dose of maemo long into the future...
