I have suggestions:

Widen the Black keys even more. You won't really need to touch the white keys at the top half of the screen anyway, so why not widen the black keys, which will aid in detecting fatter fingers?

in the future, if you can also shorten the whole set so that at the top portion, you can have controls to change the instrument sounds (like a synth)....maybe have controls over the sustain etc....
