I'm trying to throw together my own version of "Lojack" on my N810, and in addition to having it report to me every time it connects to the network, it would be great if it could report to me when it makes a GPS location lock.
Is there a way to have it do this in shell scripts?
Can I grab the output of /dev/pgps without making it inaccessable to other applications?
Is there an equivalent of if-up scripts for GPS?
It would be great if I could have it covertly try to acquire a lock when network interfaces go up, and then report its position back to my computer at home... and maybe every few minutes until the network interface goes down again.
