thanks, but this headset (bought at 10GBP ~ 20USD) had 5 buttons. this makes the matter even more complicated since the input from each one of them differs. I find it quite nice that skype can see one of them.
is there an option to monitor all the input that the IT receives? this way, I would select the monitor of the headset, measure resistances (I believe this is what would change once the button is pressed), and then tell the IT (no clue how... yet) to memorize this input. The final stage would be to associate this input with a hardware or software button.
This would be the theory. In practice, for the first step, do you know of any monitor?
I read the links you posted; the first one relates to the replacement of earphones; yet it had only one button, recognized by VoIP software; I have more buttons and want them recognized by all software...
