If I remember right, post processing is allowed as long as you describe what you have done.

But I'm with you. I wouldn't throw such a heavily altered pic in a competition like ours, even so it's in principal allowed.

(You don't lose sharpness but contrast. But of course you could compensate that. That was just a VERY quick and dirty job )
