Having glimpsed this actually existent phone,
I did not realize it had an "open-source" background.

For the price and fun of can-opening it,
perhaps it might be fun
to see if it as welded-shut internally as I expect it to be.

To be sure,
a disemboweled KaiOS device may only be useful as a wifi tether,
but it would be cheap and pocketable
and if the battery specs are correct, even cheaper in use.
