I've tried searching the forum and have found multiple answers. I've tried my best to go through all of them, but so far I'm still not able to power on my 770. I've had the device for about a year and I use the device every day to control my HT system. I had heard about the issues with not being able to turn the device on so I made sure to always leave it turned on and just connect to the charger overnight.
Well, yesterday the wife used it down the other end of the house and left it on, so I guess it just ran out of charge and turned itself off.
When I connect it to the charger, the Nokia logo comes up ok and it goes into its charge cycle and even comes up with battery full if I leave it there. However, if I try to power it on while connected to the charger nothing happens. If I disconnect it from the charger and try to power it on, nothing happens. If I disconnect it from the charger, leave it for 5-10 mins and then try to power it on, nothing happens. If I remove & then replace the battery and try to power it on, nothing happens. If I try to press the button multiple times, nothing happens. If I try holding down the power button, nothing happens.
I've also tried switching to a new battery, allowing it to charge up and then trying (just in case it was a battery issue) - no joy.
Seriously I'm out of options! I'm now thinking it might have been a mistake using this device as my primary controller, but until I sort out what to do, I'm dead in the water.
If there's ANYTHING you can suggest that I might not have tried I'd be very appreciative!
