the same way? If so that sort of 'tude is what can destroy a platform or even a community.

Honestly the open hostility to reasonable questions is in a big way, spooky and cause for
concern. Plus it is shocking that it is even tolerated by the site operators in that such
treatment can only drive away new users or even grown-up users who simply don't want
to deal with such childish behavior. Such responses seem to be on the rise since I have been
reading these boards.
