(for example, new lines of ultra-portable, bus-powered hard drives in the 300GB+ range are now being introduced in the sub-$140 range [toshiba]; flash drives are poised to hit the 64/128GB mark in the next 12 months; and keyboard-enabled cell phones are now less than US$30! [LG Rumor - in today's RadioShack Sunday flyer - albeit $329 w/a 2-year agreement])

- if Nokia offered the n810 at a much lower price-point w/a two-year subscription to updated GPS mapping for the US at a nominal monthly fee, i might be tempted... (but honestly, i don't travel much and am quite familiar w/my county/state road system)...
