I don't think explaining this project fails with typical crowdfunding issues is correct. it's not crowdfunded so when the team made a decision of leaving crowdfunding way and proceed with typical retail way, typical crowdfunding issues are no longer take part.

events are fine, but one can't organize events in every country and city, and remaining folks keep in touch at forum... where they're adviced to leave because being a troll...

I'd consider all of the listed above as minor issues if I'd be sure that device availability won't be limited enough I'll miss it if I'm not buying in one of first batches. as far as this problem is understandable now, I guess the production quantity is affected by first batches sales success, in simple words: would they earn enough to keep production going. if so, I have no clue when is it too late to be in time to buy a brand new unit. so I can't do same as major manufacturers stuff: wait like 6 months for price to drop (or at least to earn enough).
TMO is not a customer support forum, and we should be glad that Chen is talking with us here. As for device availability, I doubt even the fxtec team knows for sure so all we can do is hope. If you are very worried of missing out on the device I would advice to pre-order, if however you are more worried about issues maybe it's better to wait it out and see how it all comes along. Being an early adopter always has some risk in many ways, not only customer support, devices could have quirks etc. This is true even if you buy shamesung or pony phone too, so far the Pro1 has come a lot further than the folding slabs Shamesung and Huawei are pushing.
