Anyway, let's be realistic here and ignore the rest.
Small team, big project for a small target group.
You already know it's gonna be hard and there will be major delays.
It's up to you if you choose to support it, but always take every estimation with a grain of salt.
Regarding projects like that, most of the time people get scammed, they end up buying a product that is not even close to expectations, or they just wait so many years to get what they where promised.
In this case, we have a real device, a team that actually works to solve problems and over-deliver instead of under-deliver, and team members that are still involved with the community.
Isn't that good enough already?
