I just managed to boot Maemo Leste on N900.
I am pumped!
Boot time maybe slower, but the UI is actually more responsive than the original Fremantle!

Now, I have some trouble to get WiFi working.
It could have two reasons, and I just want to make sure:
Is the non-free firmware mentioned in the wiki already included in the image?
Assuming it is, the other reason could be: my router does not use DHCP, so I need to define the N900's IP and nameservers manually. On Fremantle I could do this via "Internet connections", but on Leste the dialogue seems to end in a dead end at "Name and Type" (no connection types to choose from).
Do I have to tell my router to use DHCP or is there another way?

And how can I change the keyboard layout to Finnish/Nordic?
'setxkbmap fi' returns 'Error loading new keyboard description'.

Edit:
I now realise that mobile broadband (SIM card) might not be fully working either. Can I activate it via command line?
The SIM card inserted is not PIN protected and can provide 4G data connections.
