Wouldn't a non-glass protector actually have better shock absorption but less scratch resistance?

Also, I believe I saw in one of the early reviews that the retail Pro¹ come with a screen protector installed already. Did I make it up?

I purchased flexible protectors designed for Elephone from Aliexpress, received them a couple days ago. Not sure yet whether I will use them as I tend to vastly prefer phones with no protections, but given that the Pro¹ is a rare gem with no certainty about long term stocks, maybe I'll be more careful.
