Well there is the Ford Model A and there is Lamborghini and Tesla, pickup trucks and busses etc. for different kind of things while moving on earth. Why not on space. And if you think what kind of work machines there are for different needs on different works you can understand that there is no actual reason to have a one kind of view of UAP in mind and lock it.

Personal belief is many sightings are military/aviation equipment/machines on a test run. But I hold it possible that the source for ideas on these prototypes may be something real.
