It was fine. I watched one flying to the states once. Much better quality than the planes screen, easier to see (not to mention the sound was much better). I put it on my tray table on its little stand (that it comes with). Other than that I wouldn't watch a movie on it, but that is because i have a full size television at home, so I use that (and I wouldn't watch a movie elsewhere that I can think of). It wasn't too small. To get a movie on it, I ripped it with handbreak and then put it in iSquint (both free). It compressed it and copied it straight to the iPod, very practical and very easy. I think there are some one click tools to do it, but I was just using what I know. Quality was great. I have only done that for one technical book that I needed, and it was again ok, pretty much like the palm reader (or the pocketPC one). Probably best on that one to ask someone else, as I have just used the one book, as I am more a dead tree kind of guy (I do electronic publications for a living - don't want to use them in my spare time!)
