I've heard similar bits on the content in Germany. I don't know the facts, but I will say that for the time being, at least your port will only be 1/4 as offensive in that land.

I wish I could help on the patching of your port, but I have yet to build my Scratchbox or alternate development environment for Maemo. I'd only be capable of dabbling and breaking things, hence 2 devices, just in case.
