I'm about to purchase a N810, but I'd like to use a tethered modem, and my carrier is T-Mobile.

I already have a Blackberry 8100 (Pearl), and based on some of the threads I've read on this forum, it's difficult and cumbersome to get the BB to work as a tethered modem - without resorting to unusual firmware that may or may not cause other problems.

(If that information is out of date, please let me know. Problem solved and I'll use the Blackberry.)

My question is simply ... is anyone out there using an N810 successfully with *any* T-Mobile phone in a tethered modem setup? I'd like to know the model, because it may be worth it to buy one.

I'm trying to be real specific, since I've noticed many of the discussions involve people chiming in with totally different configurations that may or may not (probably not) be comparable.

This N810 looks like a great device, but I live in a place with a solid EDGE network and not a heckuva lot of WiFi hotspots.
