Thats my experience with the N8x0-owners I know. They dont think of this device as a geek-toy. They use it for web-browsing, RSS and email, maybe skype. They're always surprised when they see different software on mine but in the end dont care enough to install it themselves.

Thats why the perception of the NITs being "geek-toys" that need much UI-refinement before they can reach a broader audience always makes me smile a little. Maybe its only because most people here are geeks and forgot how content normal consumers can be with what they have.

I think it shows, though, that Nokia failed miserably in establishing end user compatible channels for distributing software. But thats a completely different topic.
